香港红磡地区，富裕的中产阶级高楼耸立如林，林下遍布的却是破旧矮小、等待拆除重建的小楼住宅，以及汇聚于此的殡葬馆，矛盾地载着生者的轿车与亡者的灵车并行。每年，市民会前往附近观音庙祈求财富；当地拾荒者则从路上搜集「废物」，以期回收转化为几块钱。历时五年拍摄，记录红磡日常，重思建设发展与「废物」的意涵。。《长江往事》讲述的是民国初期，正值民族资本主义工业初步发展，本是官宦世家出身的向隐翁助其长子向不争白手起家创办向家船队并一举成功，其后向家三代子弟在历经数度天灾人祸中依旧溃而不散，用智慧与正义顽强守护向家长江航运公司屹立不倒的商战传奇故事。。The storyline tells of how 42-year-old Teresa changes her holiday plans and spends the summer with her mother, Ani.
