《最游记》的原作是日本漫画家峰仓和也创作的冒险漫画。虽然使用了西游记中角色的名字，但剧情与西游记相差很多。本作动画是根据《最游记》系列的“Even a worm篇”改编，关俊彦、志保总一朗、平田广明和石田彰将分别为玄奘三藏、孫悟空、沙悟净和猪八戒配音。另外，远近孝一、小山力也和大冢芳忠也将参与配音。@。World War I is coming to its end. Prisoners of war are coming into the town with Serb Ivo among them. During one of his escapes from the camp, he finds himself in a private garden. There he meets Lisa, the wife of the town-major - a severe and heartless colonel. She is sad, lonely and her meeting with the Serb develops into a deep mutual love.
