五十年代的北方某地，境外间谍机关委派女特务李文英（白玫 饰）潜入我东北地区，企图组织敌特空投。此时正值全国镇反运动期间，李的行动处处碰壁。正在此时，我侦察员冯广发（王心刚 饰）假借生意亏本而结识了李文英，经过几次试探和考验，冯取得李的信任。李委派他去香港和上司孙威廉（浦克 饰）接头，老奸巨猾的孙对冯仍心存疑虑，布下各种刁难考验冯，冯心地坦然且不露破绽，终蠃孙的信任。美国间谍皮斯利（车轩 饰）却仍对冯的真实身份有怀疑，他用美国所谓的“心理测谎器”对冯进行强大的心理攻势，冯最终经受住了考验。疑心未消的敌人在几天后的一个夜晚，假借送其潜回大陆，在船上演出了一套“苦肉计”，又被冯识破。从此，敌人黔驴技穷，彻底相信了冯广发，并委以重任......。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。
