お縫（中田青渚）は、自分が住む長屋が“善人長屋”と呼ばれていることに何とも言えない居心地の悪さを感じていた。なぜなら、表向きは善人面をした長屋の住人たちはみな、実際には表稼業とは別の顔を持つ小悪党たちだからだ。掏摸（スリ）に詐欺師に美人局（つつもたせ）、盗人(ぬすっと)に贋作師(がんさくし)に裏社会の情報屋・・・ここは “善人長屋”の通り名とは真逆の長屋なのだった。 そんな長屋に正真正銘の善人・加助（溝端淳平）が紛れ込んだことで起こる騒動の数々！人助けが生きがいの加助は、町中で困っている人を見つけては善人長屋の住人たちに助けを請う。お縫の父で長屋のリーダー・儀右衛門（吉田鋼太郎）は困惑するのだが、お縫はなぜだか人助けに積極的で加助に乗っかる始末。お縫の母・お俊（高島礼子）のとりなしもあり、儀右衛門をはじめとする長屋の小悪党たちは、渋々ながらも裏稼業の...。The fifth season of the American reality competition streaming series The Circle premiered on Netflix on December 28, 2022.
