An archival documentary about the U.S. Army's response to the riots of the late 1960s: take a military base, build a mock inner-city set, casts soldiers to play rioters, burn the place down, and film it all.。Mark从小生活在小村庄，那里有很多的白色水牛，村长希望Mark可以用功读书，上完大学，每年都将白色水牛卖了给Mark交学费。Mark也在很用心的学习，可是英语考试一直是他头疼的科目，他为了这个科目又多上了两年的大学，最后还是失败，Mark决定不再学习，开始了自己人生的旅程，而白色水牛也成了他接下来生活的一部分。。
